DAY 1
After picking you up at your hotel, your private guide will drive you to Reims, where you start the tour with the guided visit of the CATHEDRAL NOTRE DAME DE REIMS, a masterpiece of Gothic Art where the French Kings used to be crowned… statuary, paintings (Tintoretto), stained glass windows (exceptional panels created by Marc Chagall).
After this historical and artistic visit, you will enjoy a first visit and tasting in one of the renowned Champagne Houses : POMMERY, VEUVE CLICQUOT, TAITTINGER, etc.
It is time now for a nice lunch in a typical local French brasserie (not included)
After lunch, your guide will take you for another TASTING in one of the renowned Champagne Houses.
Before driving you back to your hotel, your private guide will stop for a short VISIT OF THE MARS GATE, the largest Roman Arch in the world – 100 feet long..40 feet high..
Night in Reims
DAY 2
After picking you up at your hotel, your guide will drive you through the picturesque villages of the MONTAGNE DE REIMS such as VERZENAY, VERZY, before arriving in LUDES at the first Champagne House of the day : PLOYEZ-JACQUEMART.
After this tasting, your private guide will drive you to HAUTVILLERS, the birth place of Champagne, where Dom Perignon created the METHODE CHAMPENOISE. Visit of the ABBEY SAINT PIERRE.
Your guide will recommend you a a nice local restaurant for a pleasant lunch (not included).
After lunch your guide will drive you to Epernay to the famous Avenue du Champagne where you will have a VISIT AND TASTING at MOET & CHANDON before heading back to Paris.
(Tastings are not included in our rates, it costs approximately 25/35 euro per person and per tasting).
On winter time some Champagne Houses are closed, most of them in January.
